Elliott - 33 Months

We started looking into preschools for Elliott to attend next fall. Yes, PRESCHOOL. How can it be that we are already starting to talk about school? While laying in bed last night Mark said "It seems so weird to picture him with his little backpack." I almost cried so I can't imagine what I'll do when the actual day comes. People really do mean it when they say your kids grow up in the blink of an eye. Elliott has become quite the conversationalist and we don't realize how well he can talk until we get around other kids his age. Below are some of our hilarious conversations.

While going to bed
E - How was your day, Mommy?
Me - It was good. How was yours?
E - I had a good day. But some times we have good days and some times we have bad days.
Me- You are right. What makes you have a bad day?
E - When I have to go to bed and I'm not tired.

E - I'm sorry, Mommy. I spilled my cereal.
Me - Giving him the stern look...
E - I'm sorry, Mommy. I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and I spilled my milk.
(How do you even get mad at that?)

E - Can I watch Chuggington with my milk?
Me - Oh, I don't know honey. Not this morning.
E - Just ONE episode (holding up one finger) and then I'll eat my breakfast.
Me - Ok, fine.
E - Can I watch just one more episode?
Me - No.
E - Awe...(long pause)...can I have some oatmeal and a waffle?

Someone got new train tracks for Christmas and he LOVES them

Awe man, I can't play that one

  1. I know, right?! I printed out preschool lists a few months ago (we aren't going to send Ean until the following fall, I think) and it just seems crazy!

    Elliott is so smart!
